Unfortunately, on April 15, 2015, Electronic Arts announced that it will be shutting down the game servers, due to a small number of players interested in the game. Also, the ability to purchase SpeedBoost points in the store and to register new accounts was blocked. Eventually, the servers were disabled on July 14, 2015. It’s a pity because the game was a good and free racing title. After the servers were closed, a modification of the game was created that did not require the players to connect to Electronic Arts servers. The download of the mod is also free.
